The First People
Imagine a world without shopping malls, grocery stores, cars, highways, or electricity. None of the luxuries we enjoy today were in existence during the time when the Wampanoag tribe was settled in the eastern region of Massachusetts. In this unit, you will learn all about the Wampanoag tribe's history... how they hunted, cooked, clothed themselves, and even how they built their homes!
Fun fact: "Wampanoag" means "eastern people," "People of the Dawn," or "People of the first light"
